Come to Little Apple Fall Follies This Saturday - Jazz at 7 and Show starts at 7:30

The Rotary Club of Ithaca and the Savage Club are pleased to announce their collaboration on a Fall Fundraiser / Variety Show event! The SIXTH annual “Little Apple” Fall Follies (LAFF) will be held in the Kulp Auditorium at Ithaca High School on Saturday, October 3 at 7:30 pm. The local talent showcase features more than 20 stage acts, ranging from singing groups and instrumental numbers to rock and jazz bands. Proceeds from the event go to support community grants from Rotary and Savage Clubs as well as the important work of the Ithaca City School District Fine Arts Booster Group. Presented by the community for the community, the evening’s line-up has something to please every age group. This year, LAFF will feature Margaret Wakeley, Running to Places youth theatre, the Armstrong School of Dance, the Ithaca High School Men’s and Women’s Choirs, the incomparable Edward Clute, members of the Savage and Rotary clubs, and many more.

Emcees for the show are Brett Bossard, executive director of Cinemapolis, and Joey Steinhagen, artistic director of Running to Places Theatre Company.

Ithaca Rotary grants promote the quality of life in Tompkins County and the greater Ithaca area. Previous recipients include the Cancer Resource Center, Ithaca ReUse Center, and the Family Reading Partnership. The Savage Club assists community arts organizations, including the Community School of Music and Arts, Vitamin L chorus, and Running to Places youth theatre.The Fine Arts Booster Group (FABG) is a non-profit organization that works in partnership with the Ithaca (New York) City School District to support and celebrate all the arts for all the kids. FABG is an affiliate of the Ithaca Public Education Initiative.
