FABG Ad Sponsorship Campaign Set to Begin - Support Arts Education!

The Fine Arts Booster Group (FABG), an affiliate of IPEI, is seeking advertising sponsors for its 2018-2019 performance program booklets for Ithaca City School District (ICSD) secondary schools’ events including concerts, dramas, and musicals at Boynton Middle School, DeWitt Middle School, Lehman Alternative Community School and Ithaca High School. Display ad space is available for sponsors who would like to support FABG activities throughout the ICSD. Contact the boosters at ads@fabgithaca.org.

Performance program ad sales support the Fine Arts Booster Group’s Mini-Grants for teachers that fund enhanced arts experiences for students. Ads are viewed year-round, in over 35 different programs on more than 55 days and with a print run of over 10,000 copies.

“Our advertisers provide essential support for arts education through our grants. Last year a grant supported Ithaca High School art teacher Jackie Richardson to include metal work and enameling in her art class, for example. These experiences enhance FABG’s goals of ‘all the arts for all the kids,’ ” notes Co-President Alice Wu. Income from the FABG performance program ad sales has funded such things as visiting artists, a student art garden, theater supplies, a mural designed for a school hallway, and a preschool dance residency. Since 2001, the Fine Arts Boosters have awarded over $255,000 in grants for arts initiatives across the district.

An affiliate of the Ithaca Public Education Initiative (IPEI), the FABG works in partnership with the Ithaca City School District (ICSD) to support and celebrate all the arts for all the kids. The Fine Arts Boosters strive for increased student access and participation in arts programs. The boosters believe the arts – music, dance and visual, literary and theater arts – are a central part of every child’s public school education. Visit www.fabgithaca.org.

IPEI is a not-for-profit organization that believes the education of every ICSD student is enhanced through community connections and support facilitated by IPEI for students and teachers through engagement, collaboration, gifts, and grants. Visit www.ipei.org.
