Mark your calendars - FABG General Meeting Oct 16 5:30 State of the Arts


(ITHACA) The Fine Arts Booster Group (FABG), an affiliate of IPEI, will hold a general meeting Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the Ithaca High School Performing Arts Center Kulp Auditorium Lounge, 1401 N. Cayuga Street. The Fine Arts Booster Group supports all the arts in the elementary and secondary schools in the Ithaca City School District (ICSD).The meeting is open to parents/caregivers, staff, students, and community members.

The public is invited to hear presentations from the ICSD Fine Arts and Performing Arts Director Daphne Shululu regarding the “State of the Arts”, as well as classroom instruction information from teachers. The boosters will also discuss upcoming goals....(read more)

10th Annual Little Apple Fall Follies benefits the arts in the ICSD

Once again the Rotary and Savage Clubs of Ithaca are teaming up with the Ithaca City School District’s Fine and Performing Arts Program for the 10th Annual Little Apple Fall Follies, aka LAFF. This two-hour show features a wide array of talented local performers, with 100% of the proceeds going to community grants and area youth arts programs.

Congrats Boynton Band and Orchestra students!

Boynton Middle School Students, Lyndon Hess (orchestra) and Jacob Merrill (band), were chosen as Honorable Mention Recipients for the 2019 NYSSMA Call for Compositions Competition. Making it on to this list is an achievement of the highest order for students from New York State Schools. It recognizes their effort for writing original compositions for small or large ensembles.
